Immigration Psychological Evaluation Process
1. Initial Consultation & Case Review
The process begins with a brief consultation to understand the nature of your immigration case and determine whether a psychological evaluation is appropriate. Any relevant documents or attorney guidance can be reviewed to ensure the evaluation aligns with the requirements of immigration filings.
2. Comprehensive Telehealth Interview
You’ll participate in a secure, in-depth telehealth interview focused on your emotional well-being, daily functioning, family responsibilities, and the potential impact of separation or relocation. This clinical interview forms the foundation of your immigration psychological evaluation.
3. Assessment of Psychological Hardship
Using clinical standards and immigration-focused criteria, I evaluate factors that may contribute to extreme psychological hardship, such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma-related symptoms, caregiving demands, medical needs, or major disruptions to family stability.
4. Coordination With Your Attorney (If Applicable)
If you have legal representation, I coordinate with your attorney for any case-specific details or clarifications needed. This helps ensure the evaluation addresses the psychological elements most relevant to your immigration case.
5. Preparation of the Written Psychological Evaluation
After the interview, a detailed and clinically supported immigration psychological report is prepared.
6. Final Review & Report Delivery
You may review the report before finalization. The completed evaluation is delivered within the agreed timeframe—typically 7–10 days, with expedited options available for urgent cases.
